Edwards (pictured in action for Solihull) joined the Moors in June from Leamington and appeared in the opening six league fixtures, starting three of them.
But with the signing of Brentford midfielder Zain Westbrooke on loan, coupled with the possible returns of Moors' midfielders Simeon Maye and Ashley Sammons from injury in coming weeks, it has now become impossible for Moors boss Liam McDonald to guarantee the 27-year-old first-team football and it has now been mutually agreed that he will return to the Brakes immediately.
Twenty-year-old Westbrooke made his first-team debut for Brentford against Fulham last season and is a highly-rated creative midfielder.
Originally a member of the Chelsea academy, he joined Brentford in 2011 and only last February agreed a new deal with The Bees to run through until the summer of 2018.
So far this season, Westbrooke has already netted three times in six appearances, against teams including ETO Gyor, Benfica and Everton under-23.
