Edinburgh: There's No Reason To Be Negative At Orient

Leyton Orient manager Justin Edinburgh believes a first win of the season is coming.

Edinburgh has seen his side pegged back twice late on inside five days.

He was frustrated as Barrow struck with five minutes to go to deny them victory in a thrilling 2-2 draw.

That blow came after Ebbsfleet United left Brisbane Road with a point thanks to a deflected equaliser in the last minute on Tuesday.

He told us: “I’m disappointed but I’m not down. We’re unbeaten and although we have yet to get that win we are playing well on the whole and we’re creating chances.

“It will come, I don’t think we’re far away from three points at all. It’s a matter of time.

“There are plenty of positives to take from the first three games. We came from 1-0 down to lead 2-1 and on another day their equaliser isn’t given.

“But we dust ourselves down. We’re positive - the league won’t settle until 12 games in and we just need that first victory.”

Another plus was two goals for Macauley Bonne.

Edinburgh added: “All strikers thrive on goals and he is no different, it’s great for him to get off the mark.

“Had it not been for an incredible save from the Barrow keeper (Andy Firth) then he would have had a hat-trick.”
