Edinburgh Delighted With Another Orient Shutout Win

Orient boss Justin Edinburgh said he was pleased with the fine defensive work his side showed after their 3-0 win against Dover Athletic, writes Tom Scott.

The O’s have made a fine start to the new campaign, sitting in fifth place after threw wins and four draws.

After Orient secured their third clean sheet in four games, Edinburgh was full of praise for his side’s work to nullify the threat of the visitors.

“That’s back to back clean sheets,” Edinburgh told the club’s website. “It’s something that we pride ourselves on and I can’t really recall them [Dover] having a shot on our goal today.

“That’s testament to our back four. They worked so hard to deny an opportunities and space and we didn’t allow Dover to get any rhythm in the game.”

Over 4,000 fans were at The Breyer Group Stadium to oversee the win and Edinburgh spoke highly of the home support after the game.

“They [the fans] deserve that because we’ve had frustrating times at home but we’re starting to be brave in possession and the crowd feel that.

“I thought it was an excellent performance,” he added. “We’re doing ok and we’ve got to keep looking to improve and we look forward to the weekend.”
