Eastleigh Move For Wood

Eastleigh have announced the signing of Sam Wood.

Wood started his career with Bostik League South side Cray Wanderers before earning a move to Bromley.

After three years with the Spitfires` league rivals, Wood had a host of Football League clubs after him.

A successful trial at Brentford saw him go on and make over 100 appearances for the West London-based team.

In 2012 Woods signed for Wycombe Wanderers and over a five-year period, made 166 appearances for the Chaorboys, scoring 13 goals.

The versatile Wood can play on either side in a defensive or midfield role.

The 29-year-old put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal earlier today.
