Duo Leave Forest Green

Corby Moore and Tom Bender have today left Vanarama National League club....

....Forest Green Rovers after their six-month contracts came to an end.

Having joined midway through last season they were both offered new deals after impressing Ady Pennock in their short time at the club.

However, it was decided to not to extend their current contracts.

Moore joined Forest Green from North American Soccer League outfit Indy Eleven in January after a successful trial.

He made one first-team appearance in a victory over Southport last season, and was denied the chance to break into the team following an injury crisis in the back end of the last campaign due to a bad illness.

The former Southampton youngster has spent time on loan at Poole Town and Frome Town this season.

Bender, who has spent the final part of his stay at FGR on loan at National League South St Albans City, also leaves having made eleven appearances in all competitions for the club.

The Wales under-21 international joined the club in February and played a key part in the team’s late surge for a play-off place last season, starting in the crucial 4-2 away win over Gateshead.

Bender (pictured) has already agreed a permanent move to St Albans.
