Draycott Takes a Break

Forward Mark Draycott has decided to take a rest from football for....

.....a period having helped secure two promotions for Vanarama National League South new boys Hungerford Town over a five-year period.

Draycott is a favourite in the club from the chairman to the younger fans.

His professionalism and loyalty have been second to none.

More often than not he has worn the captains` armband with dignity, pride and excelled in front of goal.

Manager Bobby Wilkinson said: “I hold a special memory regarding Mark.

“Just after my brother died I was numb with grief and Mark scored the winning goal in the 89th minute against Stourbridge and it helped unlock all of my emotions.”

The door has been left open for Draycott if he decides to wear the Crusaders shirt in the future.
