Draw For The FA Cup Third Qualifying Round Is Made

By Sam Elliott

The draw for the third qualifying round of the FA Cup has been made as the competition really heats up.

Following the weekend heroics, the clubs have found out their fate as they discover their opponents ahead of the ties later this month.

While the National League North and South sides entered at the second qualifying round stage, no new teams come in at this stage

The teams left in the competition are now just two games away from making it through to the first round proper - and a potentially money-spinning tie with an EFL big boy.

Boreham Wood fancy another FA Cup run under returning manager Larkhall Athletic are next. A Kent derby awaits Maidstone United, who travel to Herne Bay.

Worthing welcome Dartford, who were relegated from the National League South in April, while a trip to Guiseley awaits Scunthorpe United - if they finish off Newcastle Town.

There's a number of same division ties. Salisbury host Bath City, while Chippenham Town and Weston-super-Mare clash in a west country game.

Ramsgate had a great run last year and Brackley Town hope they won't have another after being paired together.

A game at Worksop Town won't be relished by King’s Lynn Town with Leamington also facing a trip to Harborough Town.

All the tie will be played on Saturday 28 September.

The prize money on offer is £5,625, with £1,875 handed to the sides defeated in the next round
