Dragons Targeting A Perfect Ten In Title Race, Says Keates

By Steven Coney

Wrexham boss Dean Keates reckons his side will have to win all ten of their remaining fixtures to be in with a chance of lifting the National League title.

The Dragons, currently in seventh and eight points adrift of leaders Macclesfield, are unbeaten in 12 League games.

Nine of those fixtures have ended in a draw, however, meaning Keates’ side have lost ground in the title race.

Wrexham welcome rivals Chester for the cross-border drrby on Sunday and the boss knows his side need to get back to winning ways.

“It (promotion) is there for everybody, it has been all season," Keates told the Leader. "It is tight and Macclesfield are in the driving seat.

"We have got 10 games to go and our aim is to win 10 games if possible. We have got to win every single match to give ourselves a chance and the best chance for the club to go forward.

"We know what we are up against and we will deal with it game by game, but to give ourselves the best chance to be right in the mix we have to be looking at winning as many games as we can."
