nnnnloan from Sky Bet League One side Shrewsbury Town until January.
Mills was delighted to bring in Shrewsbury winger Caton, who he described as an exciting player, and added the 21-year-old will come into the reckoning for Saturday’s trip to Torquay United – subject to international clearance.
The Widnes-born 21-year-old signed a two-year deal at the Greenhous Meadow in June 2014.
Caton had previously been on the books at Bolton Wanderers for many years as a junior before leaving to start his professional career at Blackpool in August 2012.
It wasn’t until a year later that Caton made his debut of the Seasiders, coming off the bench in a win over Watford in August 2013.
The winger only made two appearances for Blackpool and spent time out on loan at Accrington Stanley and Chester FC during his two-year spell at Bloomfield Road.
Since being with the Shrews, Caton has been out on loan with Wrexham`s league rivals Southport and at League Two Mansfield.
