Doyle Is Happy To Nurse The Pain If Cards Keep Winning!

Michael Doyle is happy for his side to leave him in agony if it means the wins keep on coming.

The Woking manager was left nursing a sore head on Bank Holiday Monday and although it wasn’t that kind, he was happy to smile through the discomfort.

That’s because he had just watched his team recovered from Jake Grey’s early double to defeat Hartlepool United in a pulsating DAZN encounter.

The Cards appear to be good at coming back to life after going two down.

They lost their first few games of the campaign at Altrincham and at home to Gateshead but have now won three on the spin.

Irishman Doyle would rather do things the easier way but he was thrilled with the spirit on show against a tough ten man Pools - and with the help from the terraces.

“It was a crazy day of emotions - I had a pain in my head from screaming so much!” he said.

“Character and desire is what people want to see in football. I was so frustrated with the start but I can never question their determination.

“I put a lot of demands on them but that’s why I do. That’s what they are capable of.

“That’s the best atmosphere I have seen since I have been here. We want this place to be bouncing and hopefully we’ve won a few fans with that comeback,” he told the club’s YouTube channel.

He called for Woking to make it four wins from four when they face Rochdale this weekend.
