Dover Bounce Back And Go Joint Top

Chris Kinnear's side continue to shock the National League having had to completely rebuild their squad over the summer.

They've now moved up to second place but are level on points with leaders Aldershot Town.

"It was a hard slog, Chester work very hard," said Kinnear "We saw their games against Gateshead where they were unlucky not to get a result there and a well-deserved draw against Ebbsfleet.

"It was a bit of a slow burner but it's about winning games. Clean sheet and four goals that's what we'd like to do every game but the other side have a say in that.

"If someone before the season said after 11 games you'd be in the top half of the table, we'd have taken that with a new side. These are top lads. It's not easy for the ones that aren't playing but you give someone else a change and they come and take it.

"There's a long way to go. People tend to get a little bit down here if you don't win but again the players haven't and we've bounced back."
