Double Forward Boost For Leyton Orient

Leyton Orient have bolstered their attacking options by taking striker Dan Holman and wide player Lamar Reynolds on loan until the end of the season from SkyBet League Two sides Cheltenham Town and Newport County respectively.

Northampton-born forward Holman (pictured) first burst onto the scene with Long Buckby, where he netted 60 goals in seventy-seven appearances across two-spells.

His form at Long Buckby earned the striker a move to Conference North outfit Histon, where he hit the ground running.

Holman netted regularly in his first season at Histon, including a run of 7 goals in five games.

The 27-year-old then broke into the Football League following a successful spell with Braintree Town, penning a two-year contract with League One side Colchester United.

Holman struggled to break into the side at Colchester, instead spending time on loan with Wrexham, Aldershot Town, Dover Athletic and Woking.

It was at the latter that Holman enjoyed most success, netting an impressive 14 goals in just twenty-six appearances for the Cards.

The frontman’s goalscoring record at Woking convinced Cheltenham to snap him up in January 2016.

Holman continued his goalscoring form at Cheltenham, netting 16 times for the Robins as they won promotion back to the Football League that campaign.

In September, Holman joined Orient`s league rivals Boreham Wood on a three-month loan which finished just before Christmas.

He scored 4 goals for the Meadow Park outfit, including the late winner in the Emirates FA Cup against Blackpool.

Newport signed winger Reynolds in June on a two-year contract.

Reynolds, 22, spent last season with Brentwood Town, scoring 28 goals and is a product of Jamie Vardy's V9 Academy.

Formerly of Heybridge Swifts, Thurrock, Grays Athletic, Aveley and Barking, the pacey Reynolds created quite a bit of interest after his stint at the new academy set up by the Leicester City and England star.

He has made eight first-team appearances for the Exiles this season to date.
