Doswell Wants Bumper Crowd Tonight

By David Richardson

Paul Doswell is hoping over 2000 fans will flock to Gander Green Lane tonight for Sutton United's Vanarama National League fixture against Torquay United.

The U's are nine unbeaten in the National League after beating FC Halifax Town 3-2 on Saturday.

They're at home again tonight for the visit of struggling Torquay and manager Doswell wants fan power to play a part.

"We asked for seven points from nine, we've got six, it allows us to go into Tuesday with a really good frame of mind," he said.

"I was surprised, there was nearly a 2000 crowd on Saturday, who made a lot of noise, different parts of the ground was making noise.

"We need to get over 2000 here on Tuesday night, see if they can help us get another victory and keep this great run going."
