The Emirates FA Cup heroes will face Orient, who were relegated from the EFL for the first time in 112 years, at an earlier kick-off time of 12:30pm on August 5th.
Sutton have become used to being in the media spot light after last season while the O's will hope for a change of fortunes under new owner Nigel Travis.
And on being the showcase fixture to get the National League underway, Doswell told the club's website: "It couldn't be any better than that, could it? We are all hoping to get a win first game of the season. They're going to travel in huge numbers.
"Being chosen for the first live game, I think that is a compliment to us for what we did last year in the FA Cup and the fact that, obviously, Leyton Orient are a massive club in this division.
"We're then away to Eastleigh in mid-week, who are one of the biggest spenders in this league, and then we've got Tranmere Rovers away.
"It just gives you that exciting feeling about it all and makes it real, that you're in such a good league."
