Steve Devlin’s stoppage-time winner handed Poole the three points at fellow strugglers Concord Rangers.
Things are still out of the Dolphins’ hands but Saturday’s result has given them a big boost ahead of Tuesday’s game against relegated Whitehawk.
Near rivals Hungerford and Concord will do battle on the same evening and Poole will be hoping to make the final day of the season an interesting one.
Following the win at Concord, Killick told BBC Radio Solent: “We were put through the mill. We had quite a few chances that were so close and their keeper made save after save.
“The players have retained a positivity and determination despite a difficult season and that speaks volumes.
“I keep saying it’s the last chance saloon but it seems we’ve been drinking in that establishment for quite some time!
“We’re full of positivity but know it’s still out of our hands. We’ll keep fighting and see where it takes us.”
