'Devastated' Morley Wants Unity As Blues Suffer Second Loss

Chester joint manager Bernard Morley has called for everyone at the club to stick together but vows that a second defeat in a row isn’t the end of the world, writes Tom Scott.

Although Morley admitted that he and Anthony Johnson ‘hate losing’, after the Blues went down 3-1 at Telford, he insisted that they will be doing everything they could to improve results.

“It doesn’t matter what level we manage, getting beat is something we don’t take,” he told the club’s official website.

“We’re disappointed but off the back of the 8-1 defeat, we’ve come here and lost 3-1 and people start to think it’s the end of the world.

“It’s emotional, that’s what football is but we’ve got to stick together. People have opinions and they’re right to, people will always have opinions.

“At the minute it’s just not going the way it should do, it’s not going to plan. I’m not going to start making excuses as to why that is, we’ve just got to stick together.”

He added, “Me and Jonno are devastated, we hate losing and we’ve got to find a way to work it out and we will try everything in our will to put that right next week.”

The club’s first chance to respond will be next Saturday when they travel to Guiseley.
