The U’s won 1-0 at Barnet on Saturday - a display the manager knows was bursting full of character.
Sutton are once again in the mix, sitting just below Salford City and now only six points behind leaders Leyton Orient.
Doswell says his team can’t be ignored after their third win from four games.
He said: “The word I would use about our performance at Barnet is heroic.
“It was a bodies-on-the-line display from the team. They showed complete commitment and a lot of desire.
“It’s another good day for us, we’re having a few of those lately and we just need to continue with what we’re doing.
“There are a lot of different ways to win a football match and over the course of the season we’re showing our fans that we can find a way.”
Doswell, who took his team to within a game of Wembley last season, added: “It’s another clean sheet and another great three points.
“We’ve now got two home games in a row, Barrow and then Barnet. It’s a chance to continue our good little run.”
