Deeney Wants Oxford City To Repeat Performance

Oxford City assistant Joe Deeney was full of praise for the side as they moved seven points clear of the drop zone at the weekend, they next take on Havant & Waterlooville tonight

A 2-1 win away at Hungerford Town saw City climb to 17th in the Vanarama National League South, a win could see them move to 14th by the end of the evening, writes Tom Feaheny.

They impressed on Saturday with victory, match highlights here.

"We were elated with the result on Saturday, we played some great stuff and carved them open and had chances, we felt we could have been three or four up," Deeney told the club's website.

"The character and resilence gained us the three points. We now have to use this going into a tough game away from home.

"We have gone to some of the sides fighting for promotion and got results, we know we can do it again."
