Davis is blessed with a wonderful left-foot and equally happy as a full-back or on the wing, giving manager Kevin Nicholson another player full of experience and hunger for the start of an exciting new chapter.
“Liam is a player who has done the business at a far higher level,” Nicholson told the club`s official website. “He has had an injury set-back but is now fully fit, and ready to show the Yellow Army what he is all about.
“He’s an intelligent and forward-thing person, and footballer, who fits into what I’m trying to achieve. He has huge athletic potential and a fantastic left-foot (almost as good as the manager) and can play a number of positions down the left flank.
“His experience will help the younger players and it all just adds to my excitement for the start of pre-season, which begins nice and early tomorrow morning.”
Davis began his career as a junior at Fulham but then made his professional debut with Coventry City. He enjoyed a brief spell on loan at Peterborough United before moving to Oxford United.
Next on the list was a move to Yeovil Town and then a stint at GAIS in Sweden, switching to Cheltenham Town at the start of last season.
