Davies Wants To Keep Port Run Going After Another Win

Southport boss Kevin Davies says his side have once again delivered a performance he is proud of.

It is now five home wins in a row for the side after they defeated Tamworth 3-0, writes Tom Feaheny.

They also made it four victories in a row, and are now five points off the play-off places.

"The result is good once again, three goals and a clean sheet, makes me very happy," Davies told the club's website.

"We wanted to be on the front foot, once we got the goal, we did just that

"There is a feeling of high expectations, we go in one up and the lads weren't happy they wanted more and that is what you want.

"We could have scored more, the attitude was very good, the players we have brought in have got something about them.

"The core requirement is hard work and then the quality we have as well, means we can go and try and achieve our aims."
