Davies Thinks Port Have Enough To Get Through The Storm

Despite the club’s 1-0 loss at FC United of Manchester on Sunday, Davies says he sees improvement.

Even though the team have picked up under for the former Bolton star, they remain only a single point above the bottom three.

Davies told the National League’s Oli Osborn that they have enough of an attacking edge to keep their heads above water.

“I thought the performance was good, we created enough chances and if we would have taken one of those I think we had a chance to go on and win the game,” the manager said.

“We asked for a performance from the players and there was a lot of battling displays out there. We moved the ball really well and played our football.

“We’re turning things around. We’ve stopping conceding the amount of goals we were and we are looking stronger than we were.

“The group is coming together, and things are a lot more positive around the place.”

Davies added: “We may not have got the result we wanted but feel we can go on a good run and get ourselves out of trouble.

“I think we have got enough players going forward to create the chances and to score the goals we need to get.

“It’s two or three months now since I came here and I really do think we are turning the corner.”
