Davies: Late Point Shows Character At Southport

Kevin Davies believes his Southport side gaining a late draw in his second game in charge showed a positive sign for his team.

A Nathan Lowe penalty in the 95th minute ensured that the Sandgrounders got a point away at AFC Telford United. Match highlights here, writes Tom Feaheny.

"That draw shows everything about the lads not to give in, I have only been here a short time but that is a big bonus," Davies told the club's website.

"We will review what we have done, it gives us a belief a real lift that we got that goal, we hung in and battled and got back into it, I'm proud of the lads.

"We have got lots of work to do, to move this club up and get us up the league as well, it will be a process, to build and we have just started that journey."
