Darts Turn To Some Familiar Faces After Burman's Departure

Dartford have turned to former players Jamie Coyle and Adam Flanagan as their new bosses following the departure of Tony Burman.

Burman called time on his 14-year stint at Princes Park earlier this week after the Darts were beaten by Braintree Town in the play-offs.

The Darts have moved quickly to appoint their new management team and they will be no strangers to the club’s supporters.

Flanagan and Coyle both featured in the successful Darts sides that won the Isthmian North and Isthmian Premier titles between 2007 and 2010.

Both have managerial experience in the National League South too. Flanagan departed Concord Rangers at the end of the current season whilst Coyle had spent the campaign in charge at Welling United.

A Dartford statement read: “We are delighted to announce that, after an intense few days of meetings and discussions with a large number of applicants and prospective candidates, we have appointed Adam Flanagan and Jamie Coyle as our new management team with immediate effect.

“As many of you will know, Adam (captain) and Jamie were members of our successful sides between 2007 and 2010, winning the Isthmian League championships of Division One (North) and the Premier Division, playing in 135 and 140 games respectively.

“We would like to welcome both Adam and Jamie back to the club and wish them all the very best for the future here at Dartford FC.”
