'Dangerous' Iron Back To Winning Ways In Style

Braintree Town delighted manager Brad Quinton after they got back to winning ways in fine fashion against Essex rivals East Thurrock United.

The Iron had drawn three National League South games in a row, albeit against promotion rivals Dartford and Chelmsford City twice, but picked up three points thanks to a 4-0 win on Saturday.

Braintree were the only side in the top seven to win, meaning they are now back up to second and just two points off leaders Dartford.

“We were terrific, were on the front foot right from the start and deserved everything we got,” boss Quinton told BBC Essex.

“I’m really pleased with the clean sheet and the amount of chances we created - it could probably have been six or seven. It was great to get back to winning ways and it’s important to kick on now.

“We’re a dangerous team at this moment in time. The boys are full of confidence at the moment and as long as we keep working hard, I’m very confident moving forward.”
