But Dan Jones has his eyes set on something more pressing - a league title and ending a near 50-year wait.
The defender belongs to Salford City, so impressed were they with his displays against them that they took the 25-year-old with them into League Two in the summer.
But injury set-backs mean it’s been a slow burner, so back to Barrow on loan it is for the remainder of end of the season.
Just 24 hours after he was making his Holker Street return during Tuesday’s 1-0 win over Dover, his colleagues at Salford were winning through to the EFL Trophy final in south Wales.
“I’ve played a few games in that competition this season and I may have been involved on Tuesday if I was still there,” he tells us ahead of Saturday’s tea-time trip to Sutton United, live on BT Sport.
“I’m not sure if I get a medal or not if they do manage to beat Portsmouth in the final!
“I watched the game on Wednesday and it’s great to see the club back at Wembley, but I wouldn’t turn back the clock back.
“As soon as I heard Barrow were keen I jumped at it. These things take time to get done usually but the next day I was back - it’s a place close to my heart as everyone knows.
“I’d love to be playing in a game like that but this is a great chance to hopefully help this club achieve something special.”
In fact, Jones doesn’t want to be anywhere near Wembley this season.
Barrow, with a seven-point advantage, are desperate to take the automatic route to promotion and not require an appearance at the National League Promotion Final in May.
He may not have been watching too many of their matches this season, but Jones knew the Bluebirds would challenge when he said goodbye in the summer.
“When I signed for Salford City I knew there was something great happening at Barrow,” he explained.
“Two years ago the club just stayed up with a last day escape, but last year was all about plans being put into motion. You could see what was going on and we were unlucky not to make the play-offs in the end.
“I really thought the club would challenge this time but they just needed to score a few more goals. When they started well, it was clear to me that they would be sticking around at the top of the table.
“There’s now that belief. Good sides grind results out and we did that against Dover on Tuesday night for sure. The lads have done an amazing job and I’m just happy to be wanted!
“If my second spell here sees us win promotion then that would be incredible but there’s still a lot of games to be won.”
How many games, we pushed him.
“We’re looking for 12 wins from our last 12 games,” he replied. “It’s as straight-forward as that really.
“We aren’t looking at the table and saying it’ll take this or it’ll take that. Once you start doing that problems can start.
“We know it will be difficult against Sutton United, they’ll be up for the game and they’ve already beaten some big clubs this season.
“But we’ll go down there and not lose sight of what we’ve been really good at this season. We’ll stick to what we know and what we’ve done so far.
“If we do that, focus on ourselves and play our game then everyone in our dressing room knows there’s nothing to fear.”
