Daggers' FA Cup Joy With Big National League Points Won

There was FA Cup delight for Dagenham and the joy of six for York City after their super show took them top of the National League.

It wasn’t a second round day of dreams for Wealdstone, Brackley Town or Oldham Athletic, who left Leyton Orient heart-broken after the League Two side’s 120th minute winner.

But there was an upset to be found - the Daggers doing for the Dons as Ben Strevens side beat AFC Wimbledon thanks to Josh Rees' winner 11 minutes from time.

Could there be more to come? Tamworth take on Burton Albion on Sunday and Solihull Moors play tomorrow too as they look to exact revenge on Bromley.

The goals flowed in a York home game once more as they ripped Maidenhead United apart, Ollie Pearce scored twice again.

The news was good elsewhere - they went top after leaders Barnet couldn’t find a way through at Hartlepool United. It ended 0-0.

Yeovil Town won 2-0 at Woking to keep the Cards looking over their shoudlers. Southend United left FC Halifax with a fine 2-0 win Adam Crowther made the points safe.

Braintree Town survived the second-half sending off of Chay Cooper to earn a point at home to high-flying Gateshead. It was the Iron’s first game since the exit of manager Angelo Harrop

Ashley Nadesan scored to help Sutton United make it three wins on the spin as they sent AFC Fylde home defeated.

Two strugglers played out a 0-0 draw which helps neither Ebbsfleet or Boston United.

Curzon Ashton stormed to the top of the National League North after a fine 3-0 win at title contenders Chorley.

Stefan Mols, James Spencer and Isaac Sinclair got the goals in a fantastic victory.

Scunthrope United are struggling for consistency - they could only draw 0-0 at home to Alfreton Town.

Kidderminster Harriers got back to winning ways after a tough midweek loss. Joe Foulkes scored the only goal at home to Leamington.

Will Hatfield, Joe Leesley, Kallum Griffiths and Cedric Main all scored as Darlington won 4-1 at Radcliffe.

Promotion hopefuls Chester, at Warrington, and Buxton, away to Spennymoor, both drew 1-1

Elsewhere it was a good day for Oxford City and Hereford, who both won.

It wasn’t a great day for the National League South top two - but it was for the chasing pack.

Leaders Truro City drew 0-0 at Dorking Wanderers, a good result which keep them top.

But Weston-super-Mare had a bad day at the office - they lost 3-0 at Worthing as Temi Babalola, Mo Faal and Danny Cashman all scored.

Will Davies scored twice as Torquay United scored four at Enfield.

Farnborough are fourth, Joe Haigh, Matty Macarthur and Aaron Kuhl got the goals in a 3-1 win over Chippenham.

Kane Crichlow scored twice as Chelmsford City ended Slough's good run while Kwesi Appiah also hit two in Boreham Wood's win at Bath City.

Salisbury beat Hemel Hempstead 5-0 and there was celebration for Tonbridge at Weymouth.
