The Bees are looking to regain their EFL status at the second attempt after finishing 12th last season.
Barnet have won the National League on three previous occasions, most recently in 2015.
Relegated pair Yeovil Town and Notts County both face Barnet in the first month which also includes games against much fancied Chesterfield and Wrexham.
And while Currie admits it's a tough way to start the new season, he isn't letting it dampen their spirits.
"It's a tough start, there's no getting away from it," he told the club's website. "We face two teams who were playing in League Two last season.
"I speak a lot about momentum and if we can do well from that eight game period then we are set up nicely for the season, however, it also won't define our season."
