Crusaders' Boss Herring Won't Have Talk Of Relegation

Hungerford Town boss Ian Herring is staying positive despite being four points from safety.

The Crusaders have shown glimpses of what they're capable of after beating St Albans 5-0 a few weeks ago.

That result has been their only win since early-January. Another defeat against Welling last week added to their misery, but Herring isn't too concerned.

“We dealt with their (Welling) aerial threat and they only had one shot in the whole, so it was disappointing to get nothing out of the game," he said in an interview with Newbury Today.

“Hopefully the performance will be the same against Woking, but the result will be different.

“There’s still a quarter of the season to go and there will be a lot of twists and turns before the end.

“The lads have plenty of fight, desire and hunger and they will be fighting until the end.

“It’s an important time of the season and if we can put a run of three wins together, the whole picture will change.”
