Crusaders Add Two to Squad

Hungerford Town have signed Nick Bignall and Luke Williams ahead of their first season in the Vanarama National League South.

Bignall (pictured) began his career with Reading and spent time on loan with various clubs including Northampton Town, Cheltenham Town, Stockport County, Southampton, AFC Bournemouth, Brentford, Exeter City and Wycombe Wanderers.

However, whilst at Wycombe, he suffered a serious injury which kept him out of action for almost two years.

He was released by Reading in the summer of 2013 but remained with the club during his rehabilitation process.

In March 2014, he joined Basingstoke Town and begun to regain match fitness. His performances improved as the season drew to a close and culminated with a hat-trick at Staines Town on the final day. However, a month into the new season, he left the club and joined Sutton United.

After further short spells with Hampton & Richmond Borough and Hayes & Yeading United, the strong striker returned to the Camrose in February 2015.

Then in the summer of 2015 he moved north to join National League North outfit Gainsborough Trinity.

Williams is a skilful 25-year-old midfielder who re-joined Hayes & Yeading United in January 2015 after starting the season with Margate.

He originally came to Hayes & Yeading from Uhlsport Hellenic League Premier Division side Binfield in July 2011 having also played for Woodley Town.

Williams enjoyed three good seasons with Hayes & Yeading before moving to Margate, then in the Ryman League Premier Division, in the summer of 2014 before returning `home` in the New Year.
