It’s the question football fans often wonder - does the north of England have the best support, or the south?

We’re all take part in spot of attendances watching. Whether it’s checking to see if form is being met with a reaction through the gates or if it’s to check up on your rivals, we all like to see who is pulling in how many punters!

But the north vs south debate is always on the lips of fans, so what can we tell from this weekend’s facts and figures.

Well, if you’re a champion of football below Birmingham then this isn’t the week for you!

The five highest crowds came in the north of the country, with seven of the ten coming from the likes of Manchester, Yorkshire and Derbyshire.
