Cox Swoops for Duo

By Steve Whitney

Paul Cox, manager of Vanarama National League club Barrow AFC, has....

....made two new signings with the acquisition of former Chesterfield striker Byron Harrison and Scottish triallist defender Euan Murray.

Harrison, 29, has a wealth of Football League experience and has been tracked by Cox for the last three years.

In the last few seasons he has been with AFC Wimbledon, Cheltenham Town and Stevenage and will look to plug the gap left by Andy Cook, who has moved to league rivals Tranmere Rovers.

Meanwhile Murray (pictured), 22, has impressed Cox in pre-season and has Scottish Premier League experience at Motherwell, plus more recent spells at Clyde and Stenhousemuir.

Both are set to feature against Carlisle United today.
