Cox: Refreshed Players Focused For Eastleigh Trip

Guiseley boss Paul Cox says giving his players a little rest ahead of a crucial month could do the side wonders.

A win and draw against Chester, with a loss in between against Tranmere Rovers, sees Guiseley currently eight points off getting to safety with two games in hand, writes Tom Feaheny.

"We've had players who had tired legs after a few games in a short space of time, it was important they got a little rest and come back fresh for Saturday," Cox said.

"I'm looking forward to the next month, I'm really positive I learned a lot about the players and the staff from the draw against Chester.

"We haven't been upset about the way results have gone in recent games, we have got on with it and now go into an important month.

"We are getting back to the standards we had before the FA Cup, we have set a level and now need to be more consistent."
