The Bluebirds were beaten on the opening day at Dagenham and Redbridge, but their much-changed side, that narrowly missed out on the play-offs last season, is beginning to get going.
A 0-0 draw at home with FC Halifax Town on Tuesday was backed up with a comfortable win over Woking.
Abdillahie Yusuf opened the scoring after 20 minutes and then Jordan White's second half brace wrapped up the points.
"It was an excellent win," Cox told the club's website. "We got over the little bit of anxiety from Tuesday night. I thought we were dominant.
"We created a lot of chances and probably on another would have scored a few more. I'm really pleased for the lads, who have worked hard.
"We're trying to galvanise a group and it's not been too easy because of the amount of new faces, some of them were struggling to know each other's names!
"To say we've got four points on the board now, I'm over the moon with that - I didn't expect us to be where we are at this minute.
"The biggest thing, is that there's more to come from this group."
