Cowan Makes First Move As Sutton Re-Signs For Bucks

AFC Telford United have announced the signing of Shane Sutton on a new one-year deal.

Sutton signed for the Bucks from Newton last July and has been an ever-present figure in the Telford defence during the 2017/18 season.

Following the management appointment of Gavin Cowan as manager and Phil Trainer as his assistant, Cowan has moved quickly to secure the former Buck captain as his first signing of the new campaign.

Sutton was delighted to sign for the club for another year, telling the club`s official website: “I am delighted to be signing for Telford for another year, as soon as Gav phoned me to say he had got the job there was no doubt in my mind that this was the place I wanted to be. I know many of the other lads are desperate to sign and hopefully we can continue on the form from last season with a good core of the lads remaining at the club”.
