County Boss Jim Not Sure Of Curzon’s Saturday Game Plan

Jim Gannon doesn’t know if Curzon Ashton will play for a draw against his Stockport County this weekend.

The experienced manager is unsure of what to expect when his side travel to Tameside on Saturday.

County have had a mixed week, dropping points against strugglers Nuneaton before ruthlessly thrashing leaders Chorley 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Gannon was chatting on Imagine FM ahead of the next game and he admits he isn’t positive how Curzon will approach the game.

“I’m not sure what their ambitions are,” said the boss, whose side sit tenth in the National League North.

“But they’re in a good place in the league so it will be interesting to see how they play.

“Will they play for a draw or match us toe to toe?”

On the excellent display against Chorley, he said: “I think of all the young teams I’ve had, you have these defining moments where all your hard work comes together.

“I was so pleased for all the staff and all the players because you’ve now seen what we’re capable of.”
