Collier Praises Whitehawk But Says His Side Deserved Win

Mark Collier saw his team gain a valuable three points and thought they got what was due to them.

Chippenham have now drawn, lost and won one in their last three matches thanks to a 2-1 victory against Whitehawk, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I thought it was a deserved victory, we dealt well with their threat, there was only one team who was going to win this game," Collier told the club's website.

"I think they will win a lot of matches in the near future, they are bringing players in and have a good manager

"There was an amount of pressure on us facing the team who are bottom, we showed good intensity, we got forward and were patient."

Collier admitted that adding to his squad will happen but only if the right player is found.

"We have got cover in the forward areas with the Christmas period coming up, if a player of real quality becomes available we would certainly be interested."
