Collier Knows His Bluebirds Can Push On Even Further

Mark Collier believes Chippenham Town can take the next step in 2018-19.

A good first season in the National League South saw the Bluebirds keep their heads above water for most of the campaign.

They ended the season in a very respectful 13th place - something their manager thinks they should be proud of after stepping up from the Southern League.

Collier signed a new contract earlier this month and has already been down to work.

The club are looking to improve on their good work last term and have already made some solid signings.

Former Forest Green man Yan Klukowski yesterday joined and their manager is thrilled.

“We’re happy so far and hopefully there will be one or two more to add to the deals we have done,” he said.

“We have agreed terms with midfielders Matt Smith, Dean Evans, Darren Mullings, Curtis McDonald, Josh Smile and defender Will Richards too.

“We feel the signing of Yan shows our ambition and that we can move forward next season.”

Skipper Greg Tindle and strikers Andy Sandell and Nick McCootie are under contract for next season.
