Classics, Comebacks And Half Way Line Goals On Epic Day

It’s was an afternoon that had everything across the National League with comebacks aplenty great goals and brilliant matches.

Barnet maintained their perfect home record after eventually overcoming Boston United.

They completed the turn around thanks to Callum Stead, Nik Tavares and Nicke Kabamba with his fourth goal in four games.

Forest Green Rovers also recovered from being a goal down to take Eastleigh’s unbeaten home record. Harry Cardwell scored for his new club for the first time.

It wasn’t a happy day for challengers Rochdale. They surrendered a 2-0 half-time lead at Ebbsfleet, Rakish Bingham grabbed a point for the bottom side.

Hartlepool United were 2-0 down at home to Sutton United but turned on the second half style - Manny Dieseruvwe bagged a classy hat-trick to win it 4-3.

It was a similar story at FC Halifax, the Shaymen stunned Tamworth as they came from 2-0 down to take all three points. Scott High won it.

There was seven goals shared as AFC Fylde beat Aldershot 5-2, pictured. Charlie Jolley and Gavin Massey both bagged braces. Nick Haughton also hit one from the half-way line as the division’s top scorer continues to impress.

Oldham Athletic’s unbeaten run is over - Solihull Moors left with the win, Marcel Oakley made it safe. It was the Latics first defeat since August 24.

Lenell John-Lewis earned York City a well deserved point at Woking, who took the lead in the live DAZN game through Dan Moss’ header.

Ben Clark got a win in his first game in interim charge of Gateshead. A goal from Jovan Malcolm in the 74th minute finally broke Wealdstone down.

Defender Kevin Lokko was Maidenhead United’s hero with two goals as they left Southend United victorious.

Braintree Town were boosted by a 2-0 win at home to Altrincham as Yeovil Town beat Dagenham 1-0.

The National League North and South leaders didn’t have too much joy.

Scunthorpe United looked to be heading for all three points against Oxford City thanks to Callum Roberts’ double.

But returning manager Ross Jenkins saw his team pinch a point through Aaron Drewe in the final seconds.

Curzon Ashton close in, they are a point behind now after Luke Griffiths’ winner at Buxton.

Chester missed the chance to up the heat and stay third after a 0-0 draw at home to Farsley Celtic.

Connor Woods’ very late leveller broke Chorley hearts as Warrington Town nabbed a 1-1 draw with the ten men.

Ross Crane hit the winner as King’s Lynn got the better of Darlington while there were big wins down the bottom for Marine, Rushall Olympic and Needham Market.

National League South table toppers Hemel Hempstead Town had another tough day.

But Truro City look up for the promotion challenge after Jaze Kabia got the all important goal in Cornwall.

Weston-super-Mare are second and one point behind after experienced Luke Coulson’s double at Welling United in a 3-1 victory.

Torquay United go third after Cody Cooke inspired a 1-0 win at Hampton & RB.

Chelmsford City keep on winning. Two from Jordan Greenidge inspired a big victory over Eastbourne Borough.

Sam Corne sealed the win for Maidstone at Worthing while Salisbury resisted a St Albans comeback as they won a 4-3 thriller.

Kwesi Appiah was the Boreham Wood hero at Chippenham as Jason Prior ensured Dorking Wanderers ended their poor run at home to Hornchurch.

Elsewhere it was a winning weekend for Bath City, Farnborough and Slough Town.
