But the boss insists it has nothing to do with him and that he owes the club's recent form all down to his players.
The Heed climbed into the National League play-off places on Saturday with a 2-0 win over Aldershot Town.
And speaking to the club's website after the game, Clark ran out of superlatives for his players.
He said: "I’m really pleased. All credit to the players again, every week they’re getting better and better. Their attitude is first class.
"They’re a credit to the club and to myself with the way they go about their business.
"They will get better and that’s the scary thing really. I think as a manager, if you’ve got a good changing room, you’re halfway there.
"Winning away from home and keeping a clean sheet is very pleasing but it’s all down to the players. I cannot credit them enough, they’re a dream to work with."
