The Heed boss says losing a 2-0 lead to leave defeated at Sutton United wasn’t acceptable.
He wasn’t happy after the 4-2 loss in London and make sure his side new about it after a damaging set-back to their play-off hopes.
“We got what we deserved from the game - no points,” he said on the club’s audio service.
“We went 2-0 up then we crumbled in the second half which was very disappointing.
“I have praised the lads when they have done well but we showed inexperience and lacked leaderships.
“I have no complaints at all about the score line. In the second half we were very poor.
“We stopped doing the basics. We were too deep, panicked in possession and we gave the ball away.
“It’s the first time something like this has happened since I have been in charge and although I can’t praise the players enough for what they have done before this, we all have to take some criticism today.
“It was a deserved defeat and we weren’t good enough.”
