City have won three games on the spin which began with their big FA Cup first round upset of Colchester United.
Since then they've turned over Vanarama National League South high flyers Chelmsford City and then Wealdstone yesterday.
Oxford are a point adrift of safety but have two games in hand on Poole, Concord and Hungerford, who sit immediately above them.
"It's a fantastic victory for us," he said. "We got off to a great start, 2-0 up after about eight minutes. Then we perhaps lost a bit of control of the game. We started going a bit too direct, too early. We allowed them back into the game."
Abobaker Lisa pulled one back before half-time for the visitors although Oxford seemed to have wrapped things up late on when Reece Fleet struck until Eisa scored again to setup a nervy finish.
"We started the second half really well," added Jones. "They didn't open us up on too many occasions. It was a great third goal but we do like to make life difficult for ourselves.
"That's three difficult games and three wins. It's a really good achievement for us."
