As tempting as it is to partake in festive family fun for a second day running, let’s face it - there’s only once place to truly be on December 26.
Our Team of Boxing Day packed a real punch when it come to goals.
All our defenders bar one scored - one even bagged himself a brace. Our midfield meanwhile all seemed to get new boots under their trees on Christmas Day.
Three of our selected four in the middle of the park scored two each. As did Gateshead full back Scott Barrow, making the squad of 16 for the first time, and Maidstone's Joe Pigott.
Do you agree with the decisions made? Have we neglected a player who had a stormer? Let us know on twitter @TheNationalLge
Goalkeeper: Carl Pentney (Maidenhead)
Solihull Moors didn’t lie down and the Magpies’ keeper really had to work for his clean sheet. It’s been a good few days for him.
Defence: Keith Lowe (Macclesfield)
Man of the match for Macc and after keeping free-scoring FC Halifax almost quite, the Silkmen’s experienced defender deserves his place in our select side.
Defence: Josh Coulson (Leyton Orient)
Orient’s form has improved since his return from injury. Coulson score and kept a clean sheet in the big East London derby with Dagenham. That’s good enough for us.
Defence: Moussa Diarra (Barrow)
The centre-back keeps scoring important goals. It’s a shame Barrow aren’t quite as productive at home as they are away.
Defence: Ritchie Sutton (Tranmere)
Not content with finding the net once, the defender got two. Fylde are no fools and Sutton’s killer instinct helped Tranmere romp home.
Defence: Scott Barrow (Gateshead)
One of six players to find the net twice, he was deadly as the Heed held Hartlepool United in front of over 3,500.
Midfielder: Luke Coulson (Ebbsfleet)
The second Coulson to get the nod, the attacking midfield was superb as Ebbsfleet United got the better of Bromley at Stonebridge Road.
Midfield: Shamir Fenelon (Aldershot)
If he fancied a Boxing Day night on the town, he wouldn’t have had to put his hand in his pocket once in Aldershot on Tuesday evening. Like most weekends, best avoid the Woking nightlife!
Midfield: Craig Eastmond (Sutton United)
Having a great season in the heart of Sutton’s midfield. An excellent 4-0 win at Boreham Wood was a lot down to his brace and accurate passing.
Midfield: Connor Jennings (Tranmere)
The first player to retain his place in our select side, Jennings’ two goals against Fylde makes him impossible to bench.
Striker: Joe Pigott (Maidstone)
Piggot is having a very impressive season and the only downer on his two-goal day was not holding on for three points at Dover.
Striker:
