Chorley's FA Cup Tie At Ashton To Be Shown Live On The BBC

By David Richardson

Chorley's FA Cup third qualifying round tie at Ashton Athletic has been chosen by the BBC to be broadcast online.

Matt Jansen's National League North side will travel to Ashton’s Brocstedes Park on Saturday 30 September.

This is the furthest North West Counties League premier division outfit Ashton have been in the competition after thumping Albion Sports 4-0 in the previous round. Chorley advanced with a 3-1 win at Stalybridge Celtic.

The Magpies sit 12th in the league while Ashton, three levels below, are 19th but have five games in hand because of their cup run.

The game will kick-off at 12.30pm and shown live across BBC Sport, with fans able to stream online or via tablet and mobile devices.

Messages can be sent on Twitter to the commentary team of Mark Scott and former England goalkeeper Paul Robinson by using the hashtag #bbcfacup during the game and they will aim to respond to as many as they can.
