...signed striker Callum Chippendale following his release by Sky Bet League One side Barnsley.
The teenager can play as the main striker or in an advanced midfield role, and joins up with the Avenue squad ahead of the trip to FC United of Manchester today.
He joined Barnsley in the summer following a successful trial, and played in a number of under-21 matches for the Tykes.
Previously, Bradford-born Chippendale had progressed through the ranks at near-neighbours Bradford City, before the move to Barnsley at the end of his apprenticeship.
“I’m happy about coming here,” Chippendale commented. “I think it’s a good opportunity to play football at a good level so I’m very excited to get playing.
“I’ve been to watch BPA a couple of times this season and they’re a good footballing side.
“I’ve watched plenty of National League North football over the last two seasons, with my brother Aidan playing at Stalybridge Celtic, so I know what to expect.
“As a player I would say I work hard for the team and when I get the ball I can create chances for others and score a few myself, so hopefully I can add this to the team.”
