The result saw the Spireites slip into the bottom four for the first time this season and means they've now gone 18 games without a win in the National League.
That in itself equalled a club record as the remain without three points to their name since mid-August.
But bizarrely they are also on their best undefeated run now in all competitions since 2006.
Speaking to the club's official video service after the game, Allen insisted that patience for results will pay off eventually.
“I thought we started a little bit slow. It was maybe a bit of a hangover from Tuesday night on a very heavy pitch down a Billericay," he said.
“They wanted to be in the draw for Grimsby next week. Everyone really put everything into that game.
“We weren’t as tenacious, we weren’t as competitive compared to what we have been.
“To come from a goal down, then have a lot of chances to go ahead. Yes, we rode our luck near the end, but we were trying to go for the win.
“We were getting in there but it just didn’t go in for us. Overall I would say it was a good performance.
“We’ve got another point. We didn’t just create chances, it was an away point at a good team. They [Eastleigh] hadn’t lost for eleven games.
“We were the better team than them. I know they hit the inside of the post, but for the second half, we absolutely bombarded their goal.
“We are getting there. It takes a bit of time, but we are getting better.”
