Cheek Checks In As Ebbsfleet Pull Off Impressive Late Deal

Michael Cheek has chosen Ebbsfleet United as Daryl McMahon gets a big boost on the eve of the season.

The Dagenham centre-forward has decided where he will be playing - and it was the call the Fleet manager wanted to answer.

Cheek has been prolific for a number of seasons and his future is finally resolved.

The forward scored 15 goals in 29 starts for Dagenham last season.

It was that form which convinced McMahon to open talks to bring the striker to the Kent club.

“In total, he has almost 160 goals to his name since 2011, an average of 22 per season, and he’s scored 92 goals in the top two tiers of Non-League football,” the Fleet’s statsman wrote on the club’s website.

Cheek could debut on Saturday when they host Chesterfield.
