Challinor: We Deserved To Be In FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

A 1-1 draw ensured AFC Fylde were in the hat for the 3rd round and now aim to get the job done away from home with manager Dave Challinor applauding his side.

The Coasters now know the reward for a replay victory at the DW Stadium will be a trip to Premier League side Bournemouth, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I think on the effort alone we deserved to be in the hat, we had that bit of luck, it was a great night for us, we look forward to the replay," Challinor told BBC Radio Lancashire.

"We conceded at a time, that disappointed me as it came from our throw in, we had to do some of the basics better.

"They are very good at pressing high up the pitch, in a high-profile game we struggled a little bit at times, we had to get people up the pitch we did that

"That change got up more compact, it meant when the ball drops, we are in there and that helped get us the penalty.
