Challinor Proud As Coasters Have Focus On Themselves Only

AFC Fylde boss Dave Challinor says his side knowing all they need to do is focus on themselves for a play-off place is a big boost.

A 3-1 win against Barrow means they are seventh in the Vanarama National League table in their first season with just a hand full of games to go, writes Tom Feaheny.

Back to back wins with other results going their way means they are in a strong position to finish in the play-off places.

"The victory has put us in a very good position," Challinor told the club's website.

"If we win every game between now and the end of the season then we will be in those play-off positions."

There are still some tough games coming up for the Coasters but Challinor says the win at Barrow can be used if they make it.

“If we do get into the play-offs then we are likely to have three away games so our away form had to improve and last night was very pleasing.

“There was still plenty of room for improvement but it’s much better to learn on the back of three points."
