Dave Challinor says his sides victory away from home meant a lot to all at the club as they made history again by completing the feat of getting the three points, writes Tom Feaheny.
The Coasters boss told BBC Radio Lancashire why the victory meant so much to him.
"It means everything, it has taken us a little bit longer than we had hoped, it has taken us some hard work, the monkey is now off our back.
"Not conceding will help us as well, I feel in other games we have had that lapse in concentration and been punished, so we take the whole package of a win and not conceding as well
Danny Rowe also became the clubs all-time top scorer in what was a special day for the club and Challinor praised his striker.
"I'm not surprised at all, we have things that we work on, the free-kick is well worked, he has got himself a chance and finished it, he has brought a lot for the team once again."
They next face Barrow on BT Sport on Monday night and Challinor is excited for the game.
"We are on TV on Monday and that is something that is another little piece of history for this club and we can't wait."
