C'est Bonne! Orient Finally Enjoying Home Comforts

Leyton Orient finally tasted victory on home soil in 2018 and boss Justin Edinburgh says their Brisbane Road form will be key next season.

Orient had been waiting since Boxing Day to celebrate at home but Saturday’s 3-0 victory over Woking brought it to an end.

Striker Macauley Bonne’s double and a late James Brophy strike downed the Cards and moved Orient seven points clear of the bottom four.

It was a big win for Edinburgh and his charges, and the boss hopes they can start making Brisbane Road a fortress.

He told the East London & West Essex Guardian: “It’s an excellent feeling and one that’s been a long time coming.

“Credit to the players. A lot was expected of them and rightly so, but they were certainly efficient in getting the result.

“Your home form is vital to you if you’re going to have success and we’ve got to try and put that right. It won’t be done overnight.

“A lot of managers have come and gone that haven’t quite done that, but today, we’ve given ourselves an opportunity to build on that momentum going into next season.”
